When people choose new carpet, they often focus on colour, style and texture.
But one of the biggest factors in how your flooring looks and performs long-term is something many homeowners never see — the installation.

Southland homes are built for real living.
Wet winters, muddy boots, busy families, rural lifestyles and cold mornings all place demands on the materials we bring into our homes — especially flooring.

There’s something special about wool in Southland. Maybe it’s because many of us grew up around farming. Maybe it’s because we understand quality materials, hard work and products built to last. Or maybe it’s simply because wool feels right at home here.

Some flooring projects are about much more than the final finish. The SBS Bank project in Invercargill’s CBD is a perfect example. While the finished floor is sharp, professional and beautifully considered, what made this project stand out was the planning, sustainability focus and teamwork behind the scenes.

Located 205km from base, the Dunedin Outpatients project required careful coordination, adaptability and a serious team effort from the very beginning. What started as a seemingly straightforward installation quickly became a much larger challenge, and one the Flooring Xtra Invercargill & Winton team took in their stride.

Invercargill & Winton Flooring Xtra had a night to remember in Auckland at the very first FloorNZ Excellence Awards, coming home with three incredible wins and a whole lot of pride.

Building on a new house lot is one of the most exciting journeys a homeowner can take. There’s something truly special about watching your home rise from the earth, designed exactly the way you imagined.

Whether it’s been a personal home, a rental, or a development project, Shelley has trusted Flooring Xtra Invercargill and Winton to help bring each space to life, from the ground up.

Flooring Xtra Invercargill has been awarded Commercial Member of the Year across the Flooring Xtra Group, a milestone we’ve been striving towards for years.
